Your Opportunity

One Temporary Full Time Position.

Capital Power is looking for a Total Rewards Intern to join our Edmonton-based team this summer and gain hands-on experience across core benefit and compensation programs while supporting meaningful work that impacts the employee experience.

You will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced P&C professionals and contribute to a wide range of initiatives across the employee lifecycle. This role offers exposure to strategic and operational work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and is an excellent opportunity for students interested in Human Resources.

You will contribute to our team by:

  • Support People and Culture members such as Benefits Compensation Business Partners with day-to-day activities and projects.
  • Contribute to employee engagement culture and wellbeing initiatives
  • Support the development of P&C materials presentations and communications
  • Assist with special projects related to talent employee experience or process improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs

What you will bring to the role:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources Business Psychology or a related field.

Experience/Technical Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Curious proactive and eager to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Office/Work from home position.

Additional Details:
