Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment and No2 Board a vacancy will arise for an Air Cdre (Any Profession) to serve asStrategic Advisorto the Integrated Cyber and Electromagnetic Effects Directorate (ICE-D) within the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) Northwood on VeRR (90) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 06 July 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

Up to 90 RSDs per year are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.

Unit Function:

IWCs mission to optimise and adapt the current integrated force through concepts and warfare development to support UK and NATO joint commanders to achieve operational advantage over adversaries across the continuum of competition.

Position Role:

Working to the 2* Director IWC and supporting the 1* Director ICE-D the ICE-D Strategic Advisor will play a key role in driving the development of the ICE-D and assist with enterprise and capability growth for Defence.

Responsibilities:

Provide key input and drive to the development of the ICE-D and assist with enterprise and capability growth for Defence.
Advise DIWC on approaches to deliver transformational change in targeting and integrated effects as a capability tying in with other related initiatives such as C2IA DX4D and Defence ISR Strategy.
Advise DIWC on specific capability-related BoI options across DLODs to drive the maturity pathway for DTE DIOE and other integrated effects communities.
Manage related 2* SG decision pathways to generate enterprise-level transformation for Defence manage related risk and make and take opportunity where possible.
Assist DIWC and DD ICED with senior staff work and representation.
Conduct specified study and staff work directed by DIWC or DD ICE Directorate directly supporting ICED staff as required.
Contribute to concepts user requirements specification and audits directed by DIWC or DD ICED.
