The E&AM Electrification and Plant office within the Engineering and Safety Division is looking for an Engineering Lead- Electrification to be the single point of responsibility for the Electrification Asset Class Asset Management (AM) works and be responsible for delivering asset renewal investment strategies and prioritization of rail and bus transit assets throughout the asset life cycle to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager- Electrification you will serve as a central point of responsibility and planning for AM Maintenance and Rehabilitation (M&R) works for outsourced contracts offering Electrification Asset Class asset management support to all Engineering and Safety Division asset classes GO Expansion Program and Rapid TransitProjects advise Electrification senior management on asset management and risk matters for high-value assets and provide strategic planning for asset management works and outsourced contract teams lead risk-based assurance and audit programs throughout the asset lifecycle and ensure compliance with asset management standards and specifications.
What will I be doing
- Develops leads and delivers the asset lifecycle management discipline works for the strategizing AM planning assets delivery acceptance handover and performance audit of the Asset Class systems from capital delivery to operations and M&R phases.
- Provides support and oversight to staff and project teams.
- Works collaboratively with asset class disciplines and stakeholders.
- Leads and/or supports reviews of contract submittals.
- Supports development procurement and management of CAPEX and OPEX plans.
- Responsible for budgets and ensuring compliance with accounting practices.
- Responsible for preventing significant negative financial impacts.
- Develops Asset Class code of practices standards and training material required by the GO Expansion Program and supports Rapid Transit Operations works.
- Provides asset class whole lifecycle AM assurance services and engineering oversight on electrification assets in both GO&UP and Rapid Transit sectors.
- Advises on asset classspecialized Maintenance & Rehabilitation requirements and planning for capital projects and Operations.
- Strategizes creates maintains and updates the annual Asset Management Plan (AMP) for Electrification assets across their whole lifecycle.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrated yearsof experience in Electrification engineering asset management or related engineering disciplines.
- Good standing Professional Engineer (.) license holder in Ontario or currently enrolled in the process of obtaining it.
- Proficient in whole-life cost modeling and asset maintenance planning.
- Asset Management and P.M.P designation is an asset.
- Proficient in vendor management and development of tender documents and stakeholder management.
