Develop and maintain financial plans with a 1-3 year outlook providing data-driven insights that help shape the trajectory of AMZL Canada operations
Execute month-end close processes with attention to detail ensuring accurate financial reporting and proactively identifying discrepancies
Lead entitlement projects by analyzing data identifying improvement opportunities and partnering with operations teams to implement solutions
Report on daily and weekly performance metrics transforming data into actionable insights for operational leaders
Influence key stakeholders by communicating financial implications of business decisions serving as a strategic partner to operations teams to improve execution

A day in the life
Your day begins with reviewing key financial metrics and preparing performance reports that provide visibility into AMZL Canadas operations. Youll collaborate with operations teams to analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement. Throughout the day youll toggle between tactical executionsuch as working on month-end close tasksand strategic planning activities. Youll participate in meetings with cross-functional teams where youll present financial insights and influence decisions that impact the business over the next 1-3 years.

Our team is small but mighty responsible for managing all AMZL Canada costs including under-the-roof on-road and fixed expenses. We work as strategic partners to operations providing financial guidance that drives business performance. Each team member plays a crucial role in supporting Amazons last mile delivery network in Canada helping to scale operations efficiently while maintaining financial discipline. We foster a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued and team members have opportunities to grow their skills across multiple financial disciplines.
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company Amazons package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
