Job Type: Contract (8 Weeks)
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $24/hour
Schedule
- Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
Job Summary
The Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist supports both clinical and administrative functions in a healthcare setting. This role involves direct patient care including phlebotomy as well as front-office responsibilities to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
- Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Answer phone calls and assist with front desk operations
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Support both front and back office operations as needed
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Occupational Health experience
