A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical is part of the larger organization Montrose Environmental Group is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air water and soil testing. Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
Our Denver CO Laboratory is currently seeking Part Time Temporary Laboratory Interns to join our team.
As a key member of the laboratory team this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Preparing samples for digestion or extraction as needed. Tasks can include but not limited to: sample login weighing making composites crushing samples incremental sampling product sampling sample disposal
Calibrating/packing equipment for use in-field or in-lab
Washing glassware
Preparing reagents as needed
Conducting simple water quality assays
Data entry
Perform support tasks as needed
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
High School Diploma
Currently enrolled in a local University
Basic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE use of balance pipetting glassware handling etc)
Basic Excel skills required
Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting
Must be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
Excellent communication skills required
Detailoriented
Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an intern position
Knowledge of analytical method analytical instruments general lab practices and lab safety
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
Must be able to work in a stationary position for entire shift duration
Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs independently and 50 lbs using assisted lifting equipment
