In Budapest or Nagykanizsa we are looking for a new colleague for the position:

Lead Supplier Quality Development Engineer

As a Lead SQDE you will not only manage your own supplier categories you will also act as the professional coordinator of the Supplier Quality Development team in the EMEA region supporting the teams development alignment and continuous improvement.

Your main tasks will be:

• Act as first escalation level in supplier-related quality issues across the region.

• Professionally coordinate the SQDE team in EMEA without disciplinary responsibility.

• Provide professional improvement and development proposals for the team.

• Recommend which SQDE should be assigned to which sourcing project.

• Regular alignment with regional peers to harmonize processes and share best practices.

• Recommend SMART KPIs and support performance transparency.

• Propose and drive continuous improvement of supplier quality processes and standards making them as lean as possible.

• Support Category Management in supplier approval including evaluation of suppliers manufacturing and quality capabilities.

• Drive supplier improvement activities including quality planning PPAP and KPI-focused development (DPM SCAR/8D) and train suppliers on quality tools when needed.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Nilfisk supplier quality standards and support local quality teams during internal audits.

What you bring:

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical BSc or MSc)

• 35 years of experience in a quality role

• Fluent English and Hungarian

• Familiarity with quality tools: APQP PPAP MSA SPC PFMEA 8D 5Why Ishikawa

• ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 Internal Auditor or Lead Assessor certification (ISO14001 Auditor is an advantage)

• SAP knowledge is an advantage

• Willingness to travel

• Driving licence
