POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools Dr. Pascal Mubenga is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications. New York State Licensure and Registration as aSpeech-LanguagePathologist isrequired. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence is completing speech-language evaluations must have knowledge of ASHA Scope and Practice of Speech-Language Pathology Medicaid Regulations and Federal and State Regulationspertaining toSpeech-Language Pathology. Candidates must have application knowledge of various Speech-Language assessment tools. Candidates must alsopossessstrong interpersonal communication skills.

Priority in theselectionof teachers will be given to qualified permanent/tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachers in order of summer school school seniority is defined as previous years of BPS summer employment in a classroom setting. Only current and active BPS employees earn summer school seniority.

DATES: JULY/AUGUST 2026 Number of Days/hoursto be TBD

DUTIES:
The duties include but will not be limited to:

Performing observations and consultations
Administering Speech-Language evaluations
Completing IEP Direct input
Writing reports required by the Committee on Special Education (CSE)
Assisting the CSE in the appropriate development and implementation of Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Inputting Medicaid billing into Kinney
May be required to attend CSE meetings and consult with other professional disciplines vendors parents and school personnel
Completing other duties deemed necessary and appropriate.

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training experience credentials and evaluation of experience. Personal Interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.

SALARY: As per the current BTF contractfor daily rate
