Job Description

Position Summary

The Intercultural Center Program Coordinator is a highly visible community-centered role that supports Randolph Colleges commitment to engagement belonging and pluralism.

This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Intercultural Center providing reception administrative coordination and programmatic support. The coordinator helps foster a welcoming campus environment and supports initiatives that promote civic pluralism religious pluralism and community connection across difference.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Administrative Operations (40%)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Intercultural Center
  • Provide front desk coverage and respond to inquiries (in-person phone email)
  • Maintain calendars for the CEBO and Intercultural Center
  • Coordinate scheduling for the Hermina W. Hendricks Gathering Place and Houston Memorial Chapel
  • Support daily office operations records and communications
  • Supervise and schedule student staff
  • Assist with event logistics and space coordination

Engagement & Organizational Support (20%)

Serve as liaison to:

  • Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) (under the Office of the Dean of Students)
  • Registered Cultural Organizations (RCOs) (under the CEBO; often religious or spiritual groups)
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Support MOSAIC (Multifaith Open Secular Atheist Inclusive Council)
  • Collaborate with the Office of International Programs and Services to support international students faculty and staff
  • Connect students faculty and staff to campus resources and engagement opportunities

Programming & Events (20%)

Assist with planning and implementation of:

  • Unity Hour and dialogue-based programs
  • Intercultural and interfaith programs
  • Orientation and transition initiatives
  • Support signature programs that promote engagement and belonging

Religious & Spiritual Life Support (10%)

Assist with coordination of:

  • MOSAIC initiatives
  • Houston Memorial Chapel programming
  • Multifaith and secular engagement efforts
  • Support initiatives that promote religious pluralism and worldview diversity

Communications & Outreach (10%)

Maintain website and social media for the Intercultural Center

  • Promote programs and events
  • Support campus and community partnerships

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • At least one year of experience in administrative support programming or community engagement
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in higher education or student engagement
  • Experience supporting engagement belonging or pluralism-based initiatives

Work Environment

  • Office-based role with frequent in-person interaction
