Job Summary

Full Stack Engineer (Java / AWS / Angular) Contract to Hire

Engagement Type: Contract through end of year with strong potential for conversion to full time.

Only folks that can work on KMM W2 (GCs and USCs)

Location: Hybrid Reston VA

- Work as a hands-on Full Stack Engineer in a team of 7 supporting both new development and ongoing maintenance of an external facing training application.
- Design develop and enhance applications using Java (backend) Angular (frontend) and AWS (cloud services).
- Build and maintain high performance reliable and user-friendly web applications for lenders and trainers in the capital markets sector.
- Develop and maintain both UI components and backend services supporting user workflows and data processing.
- Implement and automate testing across UI and backend layers; validate user stories end to end.
- Collaborate using GitHub-based workflows (branching pull requests code reviews) and optionally leverage GitHub Copilot.
- Work directly in AWS environments supporting application deployment optimization and cloud-native best practices.
- Provide production support troubleshoot issues and ensure the stability of mission-critical applications.
- Collaborate closely within a development team and with product/engineering partners to deliver thoroughly tested solutions.
- Required: Experience in Java Angular AWS test automation GitHub and external facing application development.
- Preferred: Capital markets experience and familiarity with GitHub Copilot.
