Title: Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Primary Purpose of Role
The EHS intern will partner with the EHS team to help ensure that a robust
continuous improvement based Environmental Health and Safety Management
System is in place. This position assists the EHS team in the establishment and
maintenance of a safe work environment and a safety culture where the company
and the employees value working safely. The position includes the hands-on
application of technical safety knowledge risk identification and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities
The major areas covered are special projects for the manufacturing engineering
department.

Develop and design of work holding fixtures
Time studies of machining operations
Performing ECN (Engineering Change Notices) to Manufacturing Prints
Create CAD model of parts in configurations in-line with machining processes
Create machining layouts showing the operator how to install work holding
Assist in error proofing machining/assembly operations
Engineering Data Entry (Tool cards record books routings)

Competencies and Behaviors
Computer proficient (Word Excel etc.)
CAD experience required (Solid Works preferred)
Knowledge of basic manufacturing techniques is helpful
Experience and/or knowledge working in or around machine shop or
machining is a plus
Qualifications and Experience
An in-process Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering Industrial
Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology or other related fields of
study. Ability to work with people in an industrial environment.
