Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Pay Rate: $21/hr.
Shift: 1st

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and operations team. This role is responsible for assisting with purchasing activities maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient communication with vendors and internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized has strong communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage work orders for stock and finished goods
- Create and maintain costing spreadsheets
- Work with vendors to obtain pricing and purchase inventory
- Issue track receive and close out purchase orders
- Perform data entry including entering shop hours for all departments (paint plasma laser shop and overhead)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist with filing scanning and shredding documents as needed
- Answer and route incoming phone calls when necessary
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing and operations teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Windows Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with ERP systems (or willingness to learn)
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Good math and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional email and phone etiquette
- Experience working with multiple phone lines
- Experience with vendor negotiations is a plus

- Fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
