Environmental Compliance Analyst

Location: Irving TX

Position Overview

The Environmental Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining LESs regulatory intelligence and environmental compliance systems across multiple jurisdictions. This role serves as a key internal resource translating complex environmental regulations into actionable insights that support field operations customer solutions and compliance initiatives.

This position requires strong analytical ability attention to detail and the capability to independently research interpret and organize regulatory information related to wastewater grease interceptors (FOG) used cooking oil (UCO) and environmental services.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Research & Intelligence

  • Conduct independent research of federal state and local regulations related to wastewater systems grease interceptors (FOG) oil-water separators and environmental compliance requirements
  • Interpret ordinances and regulatory language translating findings into structured usable internal data
  • Identify new or changing regulations and ensure timely updates to internal systems

Regulatory Database Ownership (FOG Law Database)

  • Own and manage LESs regulatory database ensuring accuracy completeness and usability
  • Maintain and update regulatory data across multiple markets and jurisdictions
  • Standardize and structure regulatory information to support operational use

Compliance Systems & Reporting

  • Serve as the administrative owner of key EH&S systems and trackers including:
    • MYM system
    • Incident Tracker
    • NOV (Notice of Violation) Tracker
    • Spill Tracker
  • Ensure data accuracy reporting consistency and system integrity
  • Support monthly reporting processes and compliance reviews

Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Field Operations and Customer Solutions teams to support regulatory-related customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with Environmental Compliance and Legal teams on initiatives and regulatory interpretation
  • Support enterprise initiatives such as the e-manifest project

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Environmental Policy Public Administration or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex written material
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage structured data
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

  • 13 years of experience in environmental compliance regulatory research or a related field
  • Experience working with environmental regulations wastewater systems or municipal codes
  • Familiarity with compliance tracking systems or data management tools

Compensation

  • Starting salary: $70000 with potential for growth based on experience and performance
