- Weekly Gross: Approximately $2612.16
- Weekly Stipend: $1568.16

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides comprehensive patient-centered care within the full scope of nursing practice. This role involves assessing planning implementing and evaluating care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions. The RN collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients addressing physical emotional and psychological needs
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions collect data and evaluate outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians allied health professionals and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Charge Nurse Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient flow and staff assignments within the Emergency Department
- Receive and manage pre-arrival reports from EMS and external partners
- Collaborate with triage nurses to manage incoming patients
- Coordinate admissions and bed assignments with hospital leadership
- Work closely with providers nursing staff ED technicians and support personnel
- Utilize strong communication time management and conflict resolution skills
Department Overview
- Multi-bed Emergency Department with monitored beds and dedicated treatment areas
- Nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranges from 4:1 to 5:1 based on acuity
- Interdisciplinary support including case management social work and mental health services
- Staff includes physicians physician assistants and trained ED technicians
- Accredited chest pain center and designated primary stroke center
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience (required)
- Active State RN License
- All required certifications must be current (e.g. BLS ACLS etc.)
