Job Title: Security Officer
Employment Type:Part Time 24 hours per week
Shift:Nights
Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital
Position Purpose
The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees patients/families visitors and property.
As a Security Officer you will:
Knows understands incorporates and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission Vision and Values in behaviors practices and decisions.
Recognizes special needs/concerns of populations served and adjusts communication accordingly i.e. language barrier diminished hearing concrete terms etc.
Does Patrol Tours
Monitors Close Circuit TV (CCTV)
Responds to all Emergency Code alerts
Other duties as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent
Valid Drivers license in good standing
Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers patients and visitors
Perform alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.
1-year Prior hospital experience preferred
