Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support instructional delivery and classroom management in a dynamic educational environment. This role involves assisting teachers with lesson execution supporting student development and maintaining a safe inclusive and engaging classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in delivering lessons classroom activities and group instruction
- Provide individualized academic social and behavioral support to students
- Monitor student performance and behavior offering guidance and reinforcement
- Prepare and maintain classroom materials supplies and learning resources
- Assist with classroom technology and instructional tools as needed
- Supervise students during class transitions lunch recess and dismissal
- Help with grading documentation and recordkeeping
- Communicate effectively with staff to support student progress
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment aligned with school standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or education-related coursework preferred
- Prior experience working with children (school daycare tutoring or youth programs) preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Patient dependable and committed to student success
- Knowledge of academic support strategies or special education is a plus
