A Body Shop Customer Service Representative (CRS) acts as a primary liaison between customers and insurance companies managing the entire customer experience from vehicle drop-off to vehicle delivery. Key duties include answering phones scheduling appointments updating repair statuses handling documentation (invoices estimate/supplemental inputting and matching) and delivering empathetic customer service in a fast-paced collision environment. Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Greeting customers answering inquiries and managing the intake and delivery of vehicles.
- Administrative Duties: Creating repair orders handling accounts receivable and organizing repair files.
Communication: Acting as a main point of contact for repair updates and coordinating between customers and estimators.
Scheduling: Booking repair estimates and scheduling repair appointments.
Documentation: Creating repair orders reviewing and inputting/matching estimates processing payments and managing insurance company documentation.
Qualifications
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to handle stressed customers with empathy.
Proficiency in basic computer skills estimating software particularly CCC ONE (is a plus but not required) and general office software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced high volume environment.
Computer basics and paperwork organization. Basic understanding of the automotive repair process and insurance procedures (is a plus but not required).
- A positive attitude and professionaldemeanor when acting as the face of Lawrence Hall Collision Center.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
