What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances medical emergencies and other critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings parking areas entrances and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and control entry activity as directed verify credentials when required and document security-related events observations and/or incidents in a timely manner.
- Work with hospital personnel first responders and Allied Universal leadership during routine operations and emergency situations following site procedures and escalation protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- An armed guard card and unarmed guard card is required.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have 5 or more years of security-related experience..
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
