Job Summary

This role offers the chance to support a major nuclear power plant project producing the System Design Manual for critical security and access control systems.
You will define and update key system documentation covering design operation sizing diagrams and associated electrical and I&C content.

  • Produce and update System Design Manuals for DSI and KKK systems
  • Define electrical and I&C documentation for integrated security systems
  • Coordinate with layout CAD and contractor stakeholders across the project
  • Support system design maturity reviews and commissioning preparation activities
  • Manage technical modifications and assess multidisciplinary design impacts
  • Develop practical solutions to open technical and configuration issues
  • Review 2D and 3D design consistency with layout engineers
  • Support commissioning teams with technical inputs and test documentation
  • Perform peer reviews of I&C documents produced by team members

 


Qualifications :

Nuclear experience is not essential but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further we would strongly encourage you to apply.

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartered status desirable but not essential
  • Experience with security surveillance or building systems
  • Strong technical authorship of system design manuals
  • Background on operating plants or industrial sites
  • Understanding of electrical systems documentation and specifications
  • Able to manage workload and meet documentation deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Proactive approach to engineering quality improvement
