Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a D365 Functional Consultant Finance to lead and deliver the finance workstream within a complex programme environment. This role is responsible for planning coordination and execution of finance-related activities ensuring alignment with business requirements and successful delivery of D365 Finance solutions. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams providing subject matter expertise and ensuring high-quality functional design and implementation across all finance processes.
What you will do:
- Lead overall finance workstream planning execution and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional programme teams to define and scope business requirements.
- Plan and coordinate implementation activities across finance workstreams and track progress.
- Provide subject matter expertise and review key deliverables.
- Manage RAID items within the finance workstream and mitigate risks and issues.
- Validate functional design documents to ensure alignment with requirements and best practices.
- Configure and support multi-entity financial setups within D365.
- Define and manage financial dimensions and accounting structures.
- Configure derived dimensions and posting profiles.
- Implement tax setup including HMRC and online configurations.
- Manage intercompany postings and financial consolidations.
- Configure cash and bank management processes.
- Define organisational hierarchies and budgeting frameworks.
- Implement workflows and payment integrations.
- Support electronic reporting and compliance requirements.
- Oversee month-end processing and financial reconciliations.
- Manage currency configurations and related financial processes.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a D365 Functional Consultant with a focus on Finance modules.
- Strong understanding of multi-entity financial setups dimensions and accounting structures.
- Experience configuring posting profiles tax setups intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Hands-on experience with cash and bank management organisational hierarchies and budgeting.
- Knowledge of workflows payment integrations and electronic reporting within D365.
- Experience supporting month-end processes reconciliations and currency management.
- Ability to manage RAID logs and mitigate risks within programme delivery.
- Strong experience validating functional design documents.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication analytical and problem-solving skills.
