Job Summary
Responsible for dumping picking separating and sorting soiled sheets towels pillow cases bathmats and washcloths table tops napkins aprons bar mops and housekeeping rags to appropriate bins/slings along designated sorting conveyor line.
Job Functions
- Dump pick up separate and sort product on the belt in a consistent manner to help ensure smooth product flow and improved productivity.
- Discern type of article picked up and deposit in the appropriate bin/sling to complete the separating and sorting operation.
- Maintain organization cleanliness and safety practices within the sortation area.
- Wear personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety training.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications :
- Six (6) months of experience in a high volume laundry production environment preferred.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of a normal shift.
- Other physical requirements include but are not limited to lifting reaching kneeling stooping and bending.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
