Key Responsibilities
Preparation of media buffers and sterile solutions
Operating autoclaves and sterilizing glassware and plasticware
Aseptic aliquoting within Class II MBSC
Operating automated and semiautomated laboratory equipment
Calibration of pH meters and balances
Using digital ordering systems and replenishing consumables
Supportingglasswashoperations and general laboratory housekeeping
Monitoring expiry dates and ensuring compliance with GLSGxPand SHE standards
Requirements
Willingness to learn and develop
Experience with aseptic technique or stock management is an advantage
Customer service experience is required
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Previouslaboratory experience and understanding of SHE requirements
Working Conditions
Labbasedrolelocatedin the basement area of the Discovery Centre in Cambridge
Manualhandsonwork with regular standing
Occasional lifting and movement of laboratory materials
Working hours:Monday to Friday 8:0016:00
