JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: GAS STATION PUMP ATTENDANT
REPORT TO: SUPERVISOR/MANAGER
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Pump Attendant to join our team. As a Pump Attendant you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience at our convenience store. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service to customers while fueling their vehicles.
As a Pump Attendant you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This includes regularly cleaning fuel pumps restocking merchandise and ensuring that the store is well-maintained.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Operate fuel pumps and handle cash transactions
- Monitor fuel levels and restock fuel as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with fueling their vehicles
- Clean and maintain fueling areas including pumps nozzles and surrounding areas
- Conduct regular inspections of fueling equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or fuel spills
- Maintain accurate records of fuel sales and inventory
- Assist in stocking and organizing convenience store merchandise
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a clean store environment
Requirements:
- 3 CXC O Level passes including Mathematics and English
- Previous experience in customer service
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of fuel dispensing systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
