DESCRIPTION:
Join us at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Multicraft Sr. Engineering & Maintenance Technician and contribute to our mission to advance health environmental and safety this key role youll ensure optimal equipment performance and maintenance while supporting continuous improvement in our manufacturing facilities. Youll resolve complex technical issues fabricate and design parts as needed troubleshoot PLC and automation systems and collaborate with engineering production and quality teams. Your expertise will directly impact the production of essential scientific and medical products used by researchers and healthcare professionals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma OR GED Required
Experience:
5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering maintenance or similar technical role
Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering Electronics or related field.
Professional certifications in relevant technical areas preferred.
Strong knowledge of machining tooling and equipment maintenance.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings schematics and maintenance documentation.
Proficiency in parts design and fabrication.
Experience with preventive maintenance and GMP/GEP compliance.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical electrical and automated systems.
Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO GMP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and mentoring technicians.
Proficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with PLCs control systems and automated equipment.
Ability to respond to emergency calls and work overtime when needed.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
