About the role

The Senior Manager - Production is responsible for leading the following departments Production Maintenance and Project Engineering covering the 2 plants in Reynosa as well as participating in the leadership team for the same.
4.2. The Senior Manager - Production is to ensure that the Operations activities Performs the planned development and future requirements of the plants.
4.3. The Senior Manager - Production is responsible for managing all issues relating to Production Maintenance and Engineering including day to day operations of one or more projects and provides direction mentoring
and support to Operations Supervisors and other members of their project engineering teams. Given the high-volume nature of the plant assuring the competitiveness and continuous increasing effectiveness of the
operations.
4.4. The Senior Manager - Production is member of the management team and has a particular role in developing the cooperation and competencies of the management team and managers in the organization.
4.5. The Senior Manager - Production is responsible for the Operations function of Mexican plants and for preparing plans and objectives for the Operations assuring the plant strategy and business plans.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Production

Ensuring that the work environment of the function is in compliance with any current regulatory and legal requirement and under continuous improvement at all times

Ensuring continuous qualification of the production staff

Continuous development of the workflow and the work routines of the individual production staff member

Ensuring that all the production staff members are familiar with the BU ID objectives and policies

Ensuring that all the production staff members are familiar with the Lean concept

Ensuring that existing procedures and instructions are suitable known understood and complied with

Ensuring that procedures and instructions are continuously maintained Ensuring that the entire production area and the warehouse premises are kept clean and tidy at all times and that prevailing hygiene rules are observed by both staff and visitors moving about in the production

Ensuring that budgets are being prepared and adhered

Ensuring that operation times are being determined and observed as a minimum

Ensuring that 0 series productions are executed in cooperation with R&D and Quality Department

Ensuring that operational targets are known and visible to the staff members of the function

Ensuring that existing plans are continuously followed up

Maintenance

Ensuring availability of an adequate number of staff of the Technicians Team associated with production required to ensure maintenance and improvement Ensuring cooperation across shifts and areas of responsibilities of the Technicians Team associated with production

Ensuring that targets and results are being known in order to prioritize any appropriate technical support

Ensuring the availability of appropriate procedures and instructions and their being known understood and complied with

Ensuring compliance with existing hygiene rules by the personnel associated with the function and by any of its visitors

Ensuring that 0 series productions are executed in cooperation with R&D and Quality Department

Ensuring that operational targets are known and visible to the staff of the function

Ensuring that existing plans are continuously followed-up

Project Engineering

Ensure that the appropriate competences for Project Management are present to fulfil the defined goals for the department.

Ensure that the competences for Project Management are continuously developed.

Establish and maintain routines for Project management and project execution in general.

Evaluate new project ideas.

Participate in evaluation of organization plans budgets and allocation of appropriate resources to the projects.

Give input to budgets in R&D Marketing and Supply Chain based on Project Portfolio.

Lead staff in compliance with Convatecs values and leadership behavior. Ensure necessary production capacity at UMD based on:

Input from development projects / Pre-project re. new products

Input from sales budget / logistics re. existing products.

Through specific projects ensure concept development and implementation of process equipment

EHS

Comply with the safety health and environmental policy and procedures established by EHSMS.

Be directly involved in corrective actions where they are related to other departments.

Maintain applicable documented information related to the EHSMS up to date. Receive the necessary training to ensure adequate competence of their position and staff.

Prepare the necessary information to monitor measure and analyse the different environmental objectives as applicable.

Understand EHS risks and all legal requirements related to their job responsibilities and the appropriate controls in place to manage those risks and requirements.

Perform their job responsibilities with due professional care and in compliance with legal requirements and internal standards without compromising their own safety or the safety of others.

Be aware of and support compliance with applicable significant environmental aspects and associated significant impacts.

Determine risks and opportunities related to environmental aspects legal requirements context and stakeholders as applicable to their activities.

Be alert to EHS hazards in the workplace responding to them as appropriate and communicating them to responsible management as soon as they are identified (e.g. spills).

Participate in community training and awareness initiatives as appropriate. Help drive continuous performance improvement in EHS areas recommending potential improvements to responsible management.

Participate in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing actions necessary to achieve the intended outcomes of your environmental management system.

Skills and Experience

Experience from Medical Device or other regulated industry (preferred) Knowledge of FDA QSRs GMPs and ISO 13485 or similar regulations (preferred).

Fulfill to the. 8.10 Interpretation Course in the ISO 14001 standard Induction in Legal Requirements in Environmental Matters Training in the documents of the Environmental System Attention and Response to Disasters Operational Controls that correspond to them Determination of Significant Environmental Aspects and Impacts that correspond to them EHS Policy and Environmental Objectives.

Qualification & Education

University degree in Engineering Business Management or related area (required)

Minimum 5 years of experience with production processes (preferred)

Strong knowledge on personnel administration leadership and teamwork (required)

Experienced on budgeting (required)

Familiar with commonly used computer software packages and ERP systems (required)

Fluent English written and oral (required)
