Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support a mission-critical software development effort for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role focuses on building a modern browser-based application to manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) used in the security authorization process. The application helps track and resolve system vulnerabilities resulting from the Risk Management Framework (RMF) security audits and testing.
What Youll Do
- Develop and maintain a responsive accessible UI using React.
- Collaborate with UX designers and backend engineers to deliver intuitive seamless user experiences.
- Follow best practices for performance usability and Section 508 compliance.
- Participate in Agile development sprints planning sessions and code reviews.
- Integrate frontend components with backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize frontend code in a cloud-native AWS environment.
Tech Stack
React JavaScript NodeJS Docker SQL AWS (Lambda Glue Redshift RDS EC2 S3)
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience working with Docker and cloud-based environments preferably AWS.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
