Job Description
As a Security Officer Lobby Concierge in Syracuse NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures front desk protocols and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity assist with visitor check-in processes verify credentials according to site policies and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Answer phones greet guests and support access control functions by documenting arrivals departures deliveries and other security-related events in a clear and timely manner.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
- Support a professional front desk presence within a fast-paced technology location by following post orders maintaining awareness of daily operations and communicating security-related information to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
