SUMMARY Coordinates menus and maintains kitchen inventory. Handles food properly in compliance with health safety. Prepares food for individuals receiving services. Ensures cooking equipment is in good order. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: Reviews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared. Prepares seasons and cooks food. Carves portions of meat fish or fowl for individual servings. Inspects food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities. Oversees and coordinates activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods. Plans and reviews menus. Determines food quantities labor and overhead costs. May participate in food preparation. Performs other related duties and activities as RESPONSIBILITIES None required Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or abilities required to perform the job: Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Six months related experienceCertificates Licenses and Registrations: None requiredOther Skills and Abilities: N/AOther Requirements: N/APhysical Requirements: Medium Work.
