Are you an experienced Class 1 driver who is passionate about animal welfare safety and reliable transportation As a Livestock Truck Driver at Canada Packers you will play a key role in the humane and responsible transportation of livestock (pigs) between our manufacturing facilities.

Working closely with the Transportation Team your daily responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the humane transportation of livestock (pigs) in accordance with Canada Packers animal welfare standards and guidelines.
Strictly following all biosecurity rules and policies.
Performing daily pre-trip and regular truck/trailer inspections.
Reporting all maintenance or mechanical concerns to the supervisor.
Maintaining a clean organized tractor/trailer unit at all times.
Completing all required paperwork accurately and on time.
Working flexible hours including some weekends based on operational needs.
Operating in extreme temperatures ranging from 40 to -40 degrees Celsius.
Valid Class 1A Drivers License with a favorable Drivers Abstract.
Got experience Were looking for drivers with at least 1 year behind the wheel with a Class 1A license and if youve got 35 years of truck/trailer experience even better!.
Minimum 1 year of livestock handling experience.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions and extreme weather.
