Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Forklift Operator to join our growing team in our Distribution Centre pipe yard located in Abbotsford BC. You will be required to work in all climate conditions must be capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly must possess knowledge and skill in FIFO principals as well as RF scanning equipment and are prepared to meet any challenge.
Principal Responsibilities:
Administer and operate the organizations warehouses including processing packaging and storage of supplies materials and equipment
Coordinate receipt storage and shipment of materials while ensuring accurate reporting in accordance with established procedures
Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods
Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures space utilization maintenance and protection of the facility and equipment
Perform inventory cycle counts as needed
Responsible for compliance practice and observance of all written safety rules policies and procedures presented by the company
Assist in department projects as needed
Utilization of the RF system
Reasonably familiar with all pipe yard stock items and their location is a plus
Perform other duties as assigned
Able to work outside in all types of weather
Requirements:
Minimum of 18 years of age
Completion of high school education or equivalent
Must have the ability to read write and speak English
Must be licensed to operate forklift truck pallet truck and other material handling equipment
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
Successful candidate must complete a CTPAT background check
Working Conditions:
Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking standing for long periods reaching twisting bending climbing and lifting
Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat cold dust noise levels and the use of sharp tools
Pay:
Pay: $26.72/hour
Monday-Friday day shift
