A place to make a difference:

In this full-time maximum term position (through to June 2027 with potential for extension) based in our Kununurra office youll support a local team to accomplish ambitious goals for our children youth and families. The Team Leader Youth Services provides operational leadership and coordination across our Youth Justice programs the Youth Hub and Night Patrol services in Kununurra. The role ensures culturally safe trauma-informed and community-led responses to vulnerable young people particularly Aboriginal youth with a strong focus on prevention safety and positive engagement. Youll report to the Regional Manager.

You will make a difference by:

  • Leading and developing a dedicated values driven team
  • Building relationships with partner community organisations service providers and within the broader community
  • Represent Youth Services at community meetings interagency forums and case conferences
  • Support community-led solutions and incorporate cultural guidance into service delivery
  • Advocate for young people and families in a respectful strengths-based manner

This role requires:

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to nurture a cohesive team
  • Ability to develop implement monitor and evaluate activities
  • Experience in case management and working with young people
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and complex scenarios
  • Current valid drivers licence
  • Relevant degree qualifications in youth work social work social science education psychology (highly desirable)
