Schedule: Day Shift (5x8)

  • Monday Thursday: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • No weekends holidays on-call or floating

Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role involves assisting healthcare providers with patient care performing routine clinical procedures and ensuring efficient day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
  • Assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures
  • Record and document vital signs in the EMR system
  • Perform EKG pulmonary function testing (PFT) audiometry and lab testing (upon competency validation)
  • Conduct phlebotomy urine drug screening (UDS) and breath alcohol testing (BAT) as required
  • Obtain and accurately document patient medical histories
  • Support medication reconciliation and follow-up care
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain medical records
  • Assist with billing processes and general administrative duties
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and care plans

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient or clinical experience required (12 years preferred)

Required Certifications

  • AHA BLS Certification
  • One of the following: CMA (NHA NCCT AAMA) RMA (AMT NAHP) NCMA or AMCA

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in taking vital signs and EMR documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Solid critical thinking and organizational skills
