The Undergraduate Student Research Assistant (Hourly) under general supervision will perform research in data analysis and assist the CREDIT Center operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist faculty and staff on research projects
Assist with general office activities
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
No prior experience necessary
For work eligibility during a summer term a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours for the fall/spring terms.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Students in Electrical and Computer Engineering Statistics or Computer Science degree paths preferred.
Background in R and Python programming and AI/ML research preferred.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in R and Python programming
Experience in AI/ML research
Other Requirements:
Presently enrolled as an undergraduate student majored in Engineering Statistics or Computer Science.
Must be in academic good standing with minimum 3.75 GPA
