Position Summary:
The Plant Controller is responsible for adhering to the Companys Accounting Policies and Procedures by establishing a strong Internal Control environment in the facility. This position has complete responsibility for P&L and Balance Sheet creation and integrity to include all necessary analysis of the results. They will operate as a business partner for the Plant Manager by identifying financial and operational risks and opportunities in advance and communicate them accordingly.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for adherence to the Companys Accounting Policies and Procedures. Establishes a strong Internal Control environment in the Plant.
Complete responsibility for P&L and Balance Sheet creation and integrity.
Operate as the business partner of the Plant Manager.
Serve as a consultant and advisor on all financial matters in the plant.
Identify Financial / Operational risks and opportunities and communicate them to management.
May be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Possess the necessary managerial skills to plan organize lead and control the Accounting functions.
Must be able to analyze financial statements and manufacturing variances.
Must know manufacturing processes BOMs & routings labor reporting standard costing and overhead allocations.
Must be familiar with budgeting / forecasting processes.
Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
Strong leader with a positive can-do attitude and flexibility.
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Professional Office Environment.
Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required.
