Cleaner/Housekeeper
Are you looking for an add-on job that wont cut into your other activities Alta Science & Engineering Inc. has an opening for a part-time cleaner position for our Boise Idaho office location. The selected candidate must be able to work independently with strong attention to detail. Position is for 2-4 hours per week outside normal business hours.
Duties Include:
- Maintain the office in a clean and orderly condition.
- Carry out general cleaning such as dusting light floor care and event cleanup.
- Sweep mop and vacuum floors including restrooms and break area.
- Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Collect and remove trash.
- Collect and centralize recyclables.
- Clean dishes as needed.
- Maintain wood furniture including conference room table.
- Clean assigned areas as needed including furniture window sills blinds and more.
- Scrub sinks tiles and walls to remove hard water stains as necessary.
- Carry out intensive deep cleaning and larger special tasks as needed and as requested: carpet cleaning etc.
- Provide timely communication with supervisor regarding work-related matters.
- Notify supervisor or management of repair needs maintenance deficiencies or supply shortages and resolve minor issues as applicable in coordination with supervisor.
- Actively promote good Health and Safety practices at all times.
- Document cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Submit timecard weekly.
Minimum requirements:
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Position also requires bending stooping reaching up and lifting 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and machines.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets and other relevant instructions or safety information.
- Basic familiarity with computers (to complete weekly timecard etc.).
Other information:
- Pay depends on experience and abilities.
- Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status.
