Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator (Water & Sewer)
Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operaotor to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages work / life balance great opportunity for advancement training and potential for work over the winter.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areas
- Adherence to legislation for excavation and trenching requirements
- Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
- Ensure work is always done safely to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production
- Promote execute and adhere to the companys safety program
- Daily equipment inspections and maintenance
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
Required Skills:
- 3 years of experience
- Experience working in congested areas
- Finish experience is required
- Exceptionally safety conscious
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman
- Ability to operate other equipment is an asset
- Strong communication skills
Required Certifications:
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
