Job Summary
Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer (DSS Level 4) based in ACT to work on NSSG Maritime Domain projects.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:
Lead and govern systems engineering across multiple maritime acquisition programs
Assure requirements design integration test and acceptance activities
Provide authoritative engineering advice to senior stakeholders
Chair engineering working groups and manage technical risk
Mentor and uplift APS and ADF engineering staff
What Youll Bring
Degree in Engineering recognised under the Washington Accord
CPEng or eligibility highly regarded
12 years systems engineering experience in Defence or complex programs
Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
Ability to work across multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum NV1 or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
