Job Summary
Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Contract
Location: Fort Myers FL 33912
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week Days/Nights (Weekend shifts available)
Start: ASAP
Compensation:
- Weekly Gross Pay: $2000 $2400 (based on experience)
- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles accepted
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in ventilator management emergency response and patient care across a variety of respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients respiratory status through medical history physical exams and diagnostic testing
- Develop implement and monitor individualized respiratory care plans
- Administer oxygen therapy aerosol medications and other treatments
- Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilators
- Perform airway management including intubation assistance and suctioning
- Respond to emergencies including performing CPR
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
- Float to other units or sister campuses as required
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with ventilator management (invasive & non-invasive)
- Familiarity with Hamilton and Servo ventilators preferred
- Trauma and bronch assist experience preferred
Education & Licensure:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- Active Florida State License required
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Epic EMR system required
Additional Requirements:
- Must comply with 50-mile radius rule (no local candidates)
- Floating required travelers may float to other units or affiliated campuses
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
