Schedule: Full Time: Monday-Friday; 40 hrs/week
Job Summary:
Responsible for cultivating stewarding and retaining meaningful relationships with donors in support of the Bristol Hospital Development Foundations operation under the direction of the Executive Director of Strategic Operations and External Affairs. Operates independently to drive donor engagement philanthropic education and stewardship while supporting essential fundraising operations. High level of exercise of independent judgment confidentiality discretion and professionalism in accordance with well-established policies procedures and techniques. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven detail-oriented and comfortable taking the initiative to interact with donors to meet their needs while ensuring accurate donor records timely gift processing and exceptional donor experiences.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Donor Cultivation & Engagement Identify cultivate and steward new and emerging donors through personalized outreach meetings and engagement activities. Coordinates appropriate meetings with Executive Director of Strategic Operations & External Affairs.
  • Serve as primary contract for assigned donors and prospects ensuring individualized communication and care.
  • Assists with donor engagement opportunities including completion of major corporate/departmental projects such as events tours and stewardship touchpoints.
  • Establishes and/or maintains strong working relationships with donors Corporators Board Members and community partners
  • Philanthropic Education & Donor Guidance
  • Educate donors on charitable giving options such as annual gifts pledges donor-advised funds and planned giving opportunities.
  • Support donor conversions that align with philanthropic goals.
  • Assist in developing donor-facing educational materials and stewardship communications
  • Collaborate with Executive Director of Strategic Operations & External Affairs and professional advisors as appropriate
  • Stewardship Gift Processing and Database Management
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of gifts acknowledgements and pledge reminders.
  • Maintain accurate donor records engagement documentation and data accuracy within Foundations CRM system.
  • Support donor recognition efforts maintain Legacy Society records and stewardship reporting for Executive review.
  • Respond to donor inquiries with professionalism empathy discretion and confidentiality in alignment with organizational values.
  • Events Reporting & Administrative Support
  • Support direct mail donor segmentation and targeted outreach using CRM tools.
  • Prepare donor reports queries and summaries as requested.
  • Collaborate with Finance on reconciliation andreporting needs.
  • Manages Foundation Office files and records.


Qualifications

Educational / Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma. Post-High School Education is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of administrative customer relationship fundraising or donor-facing experience or relevant education.
  • Experience working for a non-profit or fundraising environment is preferred.

State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:
None

Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by Hospital.

Special Requirements:
Excellent typing skills mathematical skills excellent personal computer literacy excellent communication skills English composition skills and highly detail-oriented. Experience with Raisers Edge and Raisers Edge NXT software highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:
Sitting for prolonged periods looking at a computer screen bending stooping.

Work Environment:
Normal office conditions. High volume of telephone and personal contact with various levels of personnel and outside professionals.

Cognitive Requirements:

Excellent secretarial skills and mathematical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Organizational/ problem solving skills with ability to follow written and verbal directions with multiple steps. Some supervisory skills in relating to clerical support staff. Superior interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize ones own work assignments and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Capable of managing multiple priorities on a daily basis.
