Summary of Work
The Environmental Engineering Section ensures that highway projects meet environmental requirements by balancing infrastructure needs with environmental stewardship. This team works with stormwater compliance hazardous materials management wetland delineations develops and monitors mitigation sites and banks and tracks environmental commitments to ensure compliance. Additionally the section oversees project permitting to meet federal and state regulations helping to keep projects moving forward responsibly.
NDDOT is seeking an Intern to join the Environmental Engineering team. We are looking for a candidate with a talent in communication and technical writing with attention to detail and someone driven to innovate. Chosen applicants will gain experience in many of the tasks that our environmental engineering staff perform throughout the summer.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate environmental engineering natural science physical science or similar degree programs.
Requires the ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.
Possession of a valid Class D Driver License for travel within the state of North Dakota.
Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and successful completion of a job function screening.
