Job Description Summary:
ASI is seeking a Space Subject Matter Expert (SME) with broad knowledge of space capabilities including orbital warfare (OW) Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Global Positioning System (GPS) space electronic attack/protection Satellite Communications (SATCOM) space domain awareness and National Technical Means (NTM). This role supports joint planning efforts and ensures effective integration of space capabilities into modeling and simulation (M&S) exercises.
An active TS/SCI clearance (eligibility) is mandatory. Prior SAP/SAR experience is highly preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with military space planners joint planners and M&S engineers to design and refine realistic experiments.
- Assist planners in developing experiment objectives aligned with military learning requirements.
- Partner with M&S teams to ensure simulations accurately reflect space capabilities and achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise across orbital warfare OPIR GPS SATCOM space electronic attack/protection space domain awareness and NTM.
- Prepare and deliver reports technical assessments and briefings for senior decision-makers.
Basic Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active TS/SCI clearance (eligibility ).
- Prior SAP/SAR experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of space capabilities (OW OPIR GPS SATCOM space electronic attack/protection space domain awareness NTM).
- Experience working with military and joint planning staffs.
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation (M&S) and its application to operational experimentation.
- Strong analytical problem-solving written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
