Working Student Internship Bachelor or Master Thesis – Development of innovative EDA software for integrated circuit design (all genders)
Job Summary
In the Mixed-Signal Automation working group we develop innovative software for the automated design of analog integrated circuits in particular in close cooperation with our colleagues from the circuit design department which we use in-house as well as with our partners and customers. Intelligent IP has been in use for several years and is constantly being adapted to new requirements. You are welcome to support us in the context of an internship a thesis or as a student assistant. Possible topics are:
- Analysis test and implementation of interfaces to existing standard CAD software
- Implementation of innovative algorithms for design automation
- Development of AI-based automation algorithms
- Adaptation to new manufacturing technologies
- Further development test and validation of API functions and generators
- Development of components for the graphical user interface
- Currently enrolled in a degree program with relevant academic background
- Ideally initial experience with the Python programming language and basic knowledge of electronic design automation (EDA) tool
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Proficiency in either German or English (written and spoken)

We will agree your start date and weekly working hours with you individually (as a working student up to 20 hours per week or for an internship at least three months). You can reduce your hours before exams and increase them during semester breaks. You can flexibly determine the working days of your fixed-term employment contract. After your studies there are attractive opportunities to join the institute on a full-time or part-time basis.
We would be happy to offer you the opportunity to write a bachelors or masters thesis in cooperation with us in the above-mentioned subject area. The thesis will be assigned and carried out in accordance with the rules of your university. For this reason please discuss the thesis with a professor who can advise you over the course of the project.
