Role Description

The SQL Database Developer is responsible for designing developing and optimizing enterprisegrade database solutions. This role requires strong handson experience building complex SQL queries stored procedures and performancetuned database components while supporting largescale applications and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development

Design develop and maintain stored procedures functions triggers and views.

Create and optimize complex SQL queries for applications and reporting.

Develop data solutions supporting enterprise systems and pipelines.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

Perform query optimization index tuning and execution plan analysis.

Troubleshoot slowrunning queries and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Enhance database scalability reliability and efficiency.

Data Modeling & Architecture

Develop and maintain logical and physical data models.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure integrity.

Support schema design for OLTP and OLAP environments.

ETL & Integration

Develop or enhance ETL processes using SSIS or similar tools.

Ensure accurate and efficient data movement across systems.

Work with Data Engineering teams to support pipeline operations.

Database Management

Support backup recovery security configurations and partitioning.

Maintain database health and ensure high availability (clustering replication Always On where applicable).

Manage SQL Agent jobs and scheduling tasks.

Required Skills

Strong experience with MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) or other RDBMS (Oracle PostgreSQL MySQL).

Expertise in TSQL and complex stored procedure development.

Deep understanding of query tuning indexing strategies and execution plans.

Strong knowledge of database architecture normalization and data modeling.

Handson experience with SSIS ETL tools and SQL Agent jobs.

Experience with large datasets in enterprise environments.

Familiarity with source control tools (Git Azure DevOps etc.).
