Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor (Long Term Care)

Schedule
- Night Shift: Combination schedule (36 hours/week)
- 3x8-Hour shifts 1x12-Hour shift
- Shift times may include: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM 11:00 PM 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary
The RN House Supervisor provides leadership and clinical oversight for a long-term care facility during off-shift hours. This role is responsible for supervising nursing operations supporting staff ensuring quality patient care and facilitating efficient patient flow across multiple units within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Oversee nursing operations across multiple units during assigned shifts
- Provide guidance mentorship and support to nursing staff
- Address staffing needs and ensure appropriate coverage
- Support performance management coaching and conflict resolution
Clinical Oversight
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient care situations
- Assist with emergency response code management and escalation processes
- Ensure adherence to care standards and regulatory requirements
- Support new admissions and patient transitions
Patient Care Coordination
- Facilitate patient flow and care coordination across all units
- Monitor patient conditions and ensure appropriate interventions
- Support care for diverse patient populations including dementia cardiac orthopedic and chronic conditions
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state federal and facility regulations
- Oversee incident reporting risk management and infection control practices
- Maintain adherence to HIPAA and patient safety standards
Documentation & Systems
- Utilize EMR systems (e.g. Epic) for documentation and reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely records of clinical and operational activities
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
- Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
