Job Summary
Civil Engineer (Project Level)
Location: Lawrence KS (Onsite)
Compensation:$120000 $135000
A well-established civil engineering and land development firm is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join its team in Lawrence Kansas. This is an onsite role requiring MondayFriday attendance. Key Responsibilities
- Support the design of residential and commercial land development projects
- Assist in the preparation of construction drawings and technical plans
- Continue professional development and expand engineering knowledge and skillset
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
- Understanding of core civil engineering principles
- Experience with site development design and construction document preparation
- Familiarity with applicable local state and federal regulations
- Experience coordinating with agencies for plan review and approvals
- Exposure to permitting and platting processes
- Experience with stormwater drainage design and analysis
- Knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic principles
- Ability to manage tasks through project completion
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Project management experience is a plus
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas or ability to obtain within 3 months
- 3 years of experience in land development preferred
Preferred Experience
- Land Development: 3 years
- Civil 3D: 1 year
- Drainage Studies & Design: 5 years preferred
- Waterline Sanitary and Roadway Design: 5 years preferred
