Job Summary

Phlebotomist - Draper - Full-Time

Granger Medical has a phlebotomist opening at the Draper Phlebotomy Draw station. We are looking for a friendly and professional phlebotomist to join our phlebotomy team and continue working together to provide excellent patient care. Your experience as a phlebotomist pleasant personality and desire to make a difference will be great attributes and an asset to our team.

Phlebotomists work in the laboratory department and are involved with phlebotomy greeting patients processing samples and various clinical tasks in the laboratory department.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of aseptic methods.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Great communication with patients of all ages.
Enjoy working with others being a team player and willing to help others with tasks.
Must be able to read write and understand English.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Obtains blood specimens by established venipuncture and capillary techniques.
Obtains specimens performing cheek swab technique.
Labels samples sends specimens to the laboratory for analysis and completes essential records.
Maintains record of tests performed and samples taken.
May perform special tests such as Natera AVISE Alpha-1 and glucose tolerance test.

Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent required.
One year or more of phlebotomy experience OR Phlebotomy Technician certification.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Sedentary work requiring lifting up to 10 lbs
Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
Inside climate-controlled working conditions
