Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager of Supply Planning will lead the supply planning function for RealTruck. The primary purpose of this role will be to develop deploy implement and lead best-in-class Supply Planning and Inventory Management processes including network wide capacity management production scheduling and inventory management.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Develop roadmap implement and refine best-in-class Supply Planning processes and procedures in support of a newly defined RealTruck S&OP process.

Manage the development of rough-cut capacity planning and network capacity plans at value streams plant and subgroup level that fulfill unconstrained demand.

Analyze and refresh on an as needed basis manufacturing value streams and manufacturing flow based on demand characteristics.

Support developing identifying and lead continuous improvement initiatives to implement a Supply Chain dashboard and key supply chain metrics (KPIs) including Schedule Adherence/Attainment (i.e. on-time and in-full shipments to DC) OTD Fill rate etc.

Manage planning rates standardization and refinement (HPU hours per unit) and metrics for demonstrated versus planned.

As the Supply Planning expert develop and maintain detailed capacity models to balance the network and resources in the short-term and longer term.

Develop and maintain statistical inventory models (model stock) to set target finish good and raw material inventory levels.

Design finished goods and component inventory policy including safety stock requirements and replenishment strategy (e.g. economic order quantities Kanban sizing) with support of the business.

Control quality of planning parameters including lead time efficiency cycle-time and capacity and work with cross-functional competencies in setting up inventory policies and metrics cycle count accuracy and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Operations Management Finance Economics or similar analytical discipline required.

7 years of related experience in Supply Chain or Operational Finance required which may include 1-3 years of supervisory experience.

Expertise in Demand Planning/Supply Planning.

Skills Abilities and Knowledge

Versed with best-in-class ERP/MRP systems (use calibration setting of parameters) and other useful platforms (Excel Access).

Ability to effectively present information to top management.

Ability to analyze and communicate numerical data utilizing analysis capabilities.

Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing sales and finance.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required.

Manager: Plans organizes evaluates and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
