About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MES Engineer with PAS-X expertise to join our growing team in this role you will drive the design implementation and optimization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a chemical manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in aligning industrial automation initiatives with business strategy while coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design implement and maintain MES solutions with a focus on Werum PAS-X
Collaborate with production quality IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration
Lead and coordinate MES-related projects ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
Translate business requirements into technical MES solutions
Support digital transformation and automation strategies across manufacturing operations
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards (e.g. GMP where applicable)
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders
Troubleshoot optimize and continuously improve MES performance and reliability

Requirements

Masters degree in Engineering Automation Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in MES industrial automation or related roles
Proven hands-on experience with PAS-X (Werum)
Strong background in industrial automation systems and manufacturing processes
Experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage projects
Solid understanding of business strategy in industrial/automation contexts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Languages

Fluent German and English (both required)
