Job Summary
Job Description
- Responsible for developing/maintaining/supporting robust and consistent environmental stewardship program strategies in support of GMs mission to deliver sustainable solutions that improve the communities in which we live and work.
- Experienced in at least one of the main environmental programs (air permits and regulation water permits and regulations or waste regulations)
- Engages with Domain Experts as necessary to ensure continual improvement and support new program/project implementation.
- Key collaboration with plant management and employees FAMs regulatory agencies internal and external community leaders and members legal staff GM and external audit services utility service provides (WWTP & PH) Project Planning teams at sites & HQ domain experts and chemical and resource management business partners.
Knowledge
Knowledge in environmental areas within automotive or manufacturing environments.
Skills in project requirements management social responsibility initiatives and wildlife conservation within industrial complexes.
Multifaceted expertise in waste management chemical administration water permit management and handling environmental databases.
Experience or established contacts with environmental authorities such as SEMARNAT and PROFEPA.
Experience in planning and executing wildlife-related projects.
Desirable knowledge of ISO 14001.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools and database administration.
Education
Degree in Environmental Engineering Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering with environmental experience Energy Engineering or related fields or relevant experience.
Experience
2 to 5 years of experience in environmental roles preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries.
English Level
Intermediateadvanced level able to maintain professional conversations.
Work Appropriately
On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis.
