The Opportunity

Are you a highly motivated individual who is looking for a position within the healthcare industry

Our Operating Theatre has an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse - Scrub /Scout in Neurosurgeryto join our Perioperative team.

This position involves:

  • Establishing and maintained positive relationships with patients staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures

  • Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care

  • Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses graduates and students

  • Working as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team managing own work time and personal well-being

  • Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes

  • Involved in clinical and compliance auditing

  • Taking the lead nursing role in the operating theatre to ensure consistent service delivery and managing of departmental / specialty resources

About You

You will hold a minimum of 5years full-time Neurosurgery scrub scout experience. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a perioperative setting.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have AHPRA registration (essential)
  • Previous experience with Neurosurgery (5 years minimum essential)
  • Have relevant post-graduate qualifications (desirable)
  • Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative setting
  • Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Display well-developed communication skills
  • Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities
  • Ensure effective allocation of theatre resources to avoid disruption to service

About Us

The Mount Private Hospital is situated in a desirable inner-city location with low-cost parking included for our staff. Our services include three Cardiac Catheter Laboratories ten Theatres including a true Hybrid theatre able to perform a multitude of highly complex procedures. Surgical specialties include cardiothoracic neurosurgery orthopedic general surgery urology plastics and ENT.
